100 Requiems Prayer

This beautiful prayer is especially aimed at alleviating the torment of the Souls in Purgatory since the Requiem prayer is repeated a hundred times.

A rosary is used to keep account and for each Ave Maria account a Requiem is said, but since there are only 50 it is used twice.

But not only that, before each beginning of the ten requiems a special prayer is made for the Souls remembering a moment of the Passion.

And at the end of each decade we ask the Souls that just as we pray for them, they pray for us. Making fuller that mystery of communion called the mystical body of Christ or Communion of Saints.

De Profundis

We conclude with Psalm 130 “De Profundis”

Out of the depths I have cried to Thee, O Lord: Lord hear my voice. Let Thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication. If Thou, O Lord, wilt mark iniquities; Lord, who shall stand it? For with Thee there is merciful forgiveness: and by reason of Thy law, I have waited for Thee, O Lord. My soul hath relied on His word: my soul hath hoped in the Lord. From the morning-watch even until night, let Israel hope in the Lord. Because with the Lord there is mercy: and with Him plentiful redemption. And He shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
