The devotion to Divine Mercy was spread by Saint Faustina Kowalska Polish nun to whom Jesus himself appeared and communicated this devotion through various visions throughout his life.

Promises of Divine Mercy

To those who venerate the Image of Divine Mercy:

“I promise the soul to venerate this Image that it will not perish. I also promise, already here on earth, victory over the enemies and, especially, at the time of death. I, the Lord, will protect her as to My own Glory ”(Diary, 48)

“Through this image I will fill souls with many graces, so that every soul has access to it” (Diary, 570)

“I offer men a container with which they must come to the Source of Mercy to collect graces. This container is this image with the signature: Jesus in You I trust ”(Diary, 327)

These rays protect souls from My father’s indignation. Blessed is he who lives in their shadow, for the right hand of God will not reach him ”(Diary, 299)

Jesus said that he would preserve the cities and houses in which this Image was found. (Note: The important towns of Krakow and Vilnius, where this devotion was established, were preserved from the almost total destruction of Poland in World War II.)

To the trusting souls:

“The soul that trusts in My mercy is the happiest because I take care of it” (Diary, 1273)

“The graces of My mercy are taken with a single container and this is trust. The more a soul trusts, the more it will receive. The souls who trust without limits are My great consolation, because in such souls I pour all the treasures of My graces. I am glad they ask for a lot because My desire is to give a lot, a lot “(Diario, 1578)

“I have opened My heart as a living source of mercy. May all souls take life from it. May they approach with great confidence this sea of mercy. Sinners will obtain justification and the righteous will be strengthened in good. To the one who has placed his trust in My mercy, at the hour of death I will fill his soul with My divine peace ”(Diary, 1520)

“No soul that has invoked My mercy has been disappointed or confused. I am particularly pleased with the soul that trusts in My goodness. ” (Diary, 1541)

“Whoever trusts in my mercy will not perish because all their affairs are Mine and the enemies will crash at the feet of My footstool” (Diary, 723)

To those who spread Divine Mercy:

“To the souls who spread devotion to My mercy, I protect them throughout their lives as a loving mother to their newborn child and at death I will not be the Judge for them, but the Merciful Savior” (Diary, 1075)

“… To all who proclaim this great mercy of Mine. I myself will defend them at the hour of death as My glory although the sins of the souls are black as the night ”(Diary, 379)

“All souls who Adore My mercy and spread devotion by inviting other souls to trust in My mercy will not experience terror at the hour of death. My mercy will protect you in that last battle ”(Diary, 1540).

To those who pray at the hour of mercy (3:00 pm):

“In this hour nothing will be denied to the soul that asks for it by the merits of My Passion …” (Diary, 1320)

“In that hour you can get everything you ask for yourself and for others. At that time grace was established for the entire world: mercy triumphed over justice ”(Diary, 1572)

To those who pray the Chaplet to Divine Mercy:

“I will defend as My glory each soul who prays this crown at the hour of death, or when others pray it with the dying, who will obtain the same forgiveness. When this Chaplet is prayed near a dying man, divine wrath is appeased and unfathomable Mercy envelops the soul and the bowels of My Mercy are moved by the painful Passion of My Son ”(Diary, 811)

“When they pray this chaplet together with the dying, I will put myself between the Father and the dying soul not as the just Judge but as the Merciful Savior.” (Diary, 1541)

Pray incessantly this Chaplet that I have taught you. Whoever prays it will receive great Mercy at the time of death. Priests will recommend it to sinners as the last table of salvation ”(Diary, 687)

“When hardened sinners pray it, I will fill their souls with peace and the hour of their death will be happy.” (Diary, 1541)

“Through it you will obtain everything, if what you ask is in accordance with My Will.” (Diary, 1731)

To those who pray the Novena to Divine Mercy:

“During this novena I will grant souls all kinds of graces” (Diary, 796)

To the priests:

“Tell my priests that the most inveterate sinners will soften under their words when they speak of My unfathomable mercy, of the compassion I have for them in My Heart. To the priests who proclaim and praise My mercy, I will give prodigious strength and anoint their words and shake the hearts to which they speak ”(Diary, 1521)

For sinners:

“When you pray this prayer with a contrite heart and with faith for some sinner, I will grant him the grace of conversion. This sentence is the following:
O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You “

On the Feast of Divine Mercy, the second Sunday of Easter (Sunday after Easter):

“Say to the souls that I give them My mercy as a defense, I fight for them alone and I bear the righteous wrath of My father. )

“..Refuge and shelter for all souls and, especially, for poor sinners. The soul that confesses and receives Holy Communion will obtain total forgiveness of guilt and sorrow. Let no soul be afraid to approach Me, even if their sins are as scarlet. Humanity will not know peace until it goes to the source of My mercy “(Diary, 699)

Prayer only for the dying soul to have a good death

(But before resorting to the Sacrament of CONFESSION for total RECONCILIATION with God)

O Merciful Jesus spread on the Cross, keep in mind the hour of my death. O Most Merciful Jesus of Jesus, open with a spear, protect me at the hour of my death. O Blood and Water that gushed forth from the Sacred Heart of Jesus as an unfathomable source of Mercy for me, cleanse my soul and have mercy on this poor sinner. O Dying Jesus, hostage of Mercy, appease Divine wrath at the hour of my death. Amen. (Diary, 813)

Oh my Jesus, may they be completely in accordance with Your Most Holy Will in the last days of my exile.

I unite my sufferings, my bitterness, my ailments and my agony to Your Sacred Passion; and I offer myself throughout the world to obtain in abundance the Mercy of God for the conversion and salvation of the souls of poor sinners (especially by N.N.). Your Mercy will be everything to me in the last hour. (Diary, 1574)

I forgive all those who hurt me and ask forgiveness of those I hurt with my works and words. I renounce all rancor and evil from my heart.

OH MARY: Mother and Lady of mine, I offer you my soul and my body, my life and my death and everything that will come after her. I put everything in your hands, Oh my Mother, cover my soul with your virginal Mantle and grant me the grace of purity of heart, soul and body. With your Power, defend me from all enemies. Oh splendid Azucena, you are my mirror, Oh my mother. (Diary, 79)

You are my shield and my defense against the enemy. (Diary, 1232)

Oh my Mother, your soul was submerged in the sea of bitterness, look at me, teach me to suffer and love in suffering. Strengthen my soul so that pain does not break it. (Diary, 315) Amen.
